A Beginner Guide on Aprons
Aprons are worn by people to protect the clothes from getting dirty. They are sometimes worn because it is part of a uniform for work, for sport or to protect the clothes when cooking.

There are different types of aprons, this is only a small list of the most popular ones:

2. It was not until the 14th century that people began wearing them for their fashion value.

3. In the 1800s, a special kind of apron was invented in France called the "Barber Apron", it is shaped like a bib and covers the chest of the person wearing it. It was meant to protect the tuxedo shirt of the person getting their hair cut, but it also protected the hair dresser's clothes.

4. There are many different types of aprons, from ones worn in restaurants to ones worn when cleaning the house.

5. In the early 1900s, special apron was invented for women who worked in factories.

6. In the early 1960s, a "chef's apron" was created for people working in kitchens who needed protection from stains and spills.

7. In 1965, the first "Suit Apron" was invented by a man called Harold Bloomer.

8. In 1987, a special kind of fabric was invented for aprons that help protect people from getting burned by hot liquids.

9. In the 1990s, new aprons were invented to protect people from harsh chemicals when doing work around the house.

10. Aprons for babies were invented in the 1990s.

11. There are also aprons made specifically to be worn at home or when cooking, called "Cloth Aprons".

12. In the early 2000s, a Canadian company invented an "Apron Dress" made from recycled plastic bottles. Someone made this because they wanted to find a use for plastic bottles that are not recycled.

13. In 2003, it was seen as very fashionable to wear an apron.

14. In 2005, Geraldine James invented the "High-Tech Apron", it was designed to protect people from harmful bacteria.

15. In 2007, an "Apron Dress" was invented that had a pocket for a cell phone.

In conclusion, aprons have been around for a long time and in many cultures, it is normal for an apron to be part of a uniform for work, just like it is normal to wear clothes.
